Painted many years ago on her journey to Brazil in the tropical old town of Olinda in the North East of Brazil. Olinda was a quiet and beautiful colonial town, with wonderful houses and vegetation, from simple dwellings to elaborate ornate town houses. Bananas and palms grow in great abundance on the hills above the turquoise sea.
